You may register your own child below to participate in Goal One.
You may also sponsor a child from the D.C Boys or Girls Club to participate in Goal One for a donation of $55. A $100 donation will sponsor a child to participate in Goal One and two South African children to participate in the life-skills/AIDS education soccer program beginning in the fall in South Africa. To sponsor a child, simply go to www.2540.org and click the donate button and note "sponsor a child for Goal One."
Proceeds from the event will be used to implement comprehensive soccer-based like-skills programs for very poor children living in South Africa’s rural Eastern Cape. As such, young soccer fans taking part in Goal One will not only learn how soccer can help children survive and thrive in very difficult circumstances, they also will have the joy of knowing they are actually making a difference through soccer these children’s lives.
